Coveralls or FR shirt and pants?

Both protect the same if the ratings match. Coveralls go on fast over your clothes and leave no gap at the waist. Shirt and pants are cooler and more flexible for daily wear. See FR shirts and FR pants.

What do I wear under an FR coverall?

Cotton or wool. Polyester and nylon can melt in a flash fire.

What do the labels mean?

NFPA 2112 is flash fire protection. An arc rating in cal/cm² is for electrical work. Our FR vs AR guide explains both.
