How to measure
- Chest (bust): around the fullest part of your bust, tape level under your arms.
- Waist: around your natural waist, the narrowest part of your torso.
- Low hip: around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
Keep the tape snug, not tight. These are body measurements, not garment measurements.

Between sizes
- Ariat's advice: take the smaller size for a closer fit or the larger size for a looser fit.
- If your chest and waist point to different sizes, go by your chest.
- Wearing a shirt over a baselayer? If you're between sizes, take the larger one.
Sizing questions
- Are 2XL and 1X the same size?
- They overlap. Both fit about a 45 to 46 inch chest. 2XL (Ariat's XXL) covers a 38 to 40 inch waist and 1X covers 37.5 to 39.5 inches, so compare your waist and hip to choose.
- Is the chart in body or shirt measurements?
- Body measurements. Measure yourself, not a shirt you own.
