The Flint II Mid is for the man whose jobsite does not require a safety toe but whose day still involves wet ground and live circuits. The KEEN.PROTECT asymmetrical soft toes are shaped left and right and guard against minor knocks and abrasion, but they are not a safety toe and offer no crush resistance. What you get instead is a lighter boot: the KEEN.ReGEN midsole returns up to half the energy of each step, the KEEN.DRY membrane keeps water out while letting sweat escape, and the siped rubber outsole pushes liquid out from underfoot so it holds on wet concrete. The outsole is EH rated as a secondary line of protection against accidental contact with a live circuit, and reflective webbing at the heel picks up headlights in a dark yard.
