How to measure
- Waist: around your natural waist, the narrowest part of your torso.
- Low hip: around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
- Inseam: the inside leg seam, crotch to hem, measured on a pair of pants that fit you right.
Keep the tape snug, not tight. Waist and hip in the chart are body measurements; inseam is the length of the pant leg.

Between sizes
- Ariat's advice: take the smaller size for a closer fit or the larger size for a looser fit.
- From size 31 up, the body waist runs bigger than the size number: a 32 fits a 33 inch waist and a 34 fits a 36 inch waist.
Sizing questions
- Is a size 32 a 32 inch waist?
- Not in Ariat women's sizing. A 32 fits a 33 inch body waist and a 43 inch low hip. Sizes 25 to 30 match the waist in inches.
- What does the W in 16W mean?
- W sizes are Ariat's plus sizes, 16W to 26W, for a 37.5 to 47.5 inch waist.
