The Dalton is the warmest thing in this drop. It carries 240 grams of insulation, which Ariat rates at the second-highest of its four warmth levels, so it works as an outer layer on a cold morning rather than just a layer under something else. The body is 100% cotton corduroy with a denim yoke across the shoulders, cut in the western yoke shape that has been on work shirts and jackets for a hundred years. It sits slightly cropped with a roomy feel, which is why it works over a dress or a skirt as easily as over jeans and a snap shirt.
