Body measurements in inches for Wrangler women's jeans, shorts, western shirts, tees, sweatshirts and jackets. Measure yourself, match the closest row and order that size.
How to measure
- Chest (bust): around the fullest part, tape close under your arms and flat across your back.
- Waist: around your waist at the narrowest point.
- Hip: heels together, around the fullest point of your hips.
- Thigh: around your thigh, about an inch below the crotch.
- Neck: around the base of your neck.
- Sleeve: arm straight at your side, from the shoulder bone to the wrist bone.
- Inseam: from the top of your inner thigh straight down to the floor, without shoes.
Wrangler's charts are body measurements, and Wrangler suggests measuring without clothes on. No tape? Use a piece of string and lay it along a ruler.

Wrangler sells women's jeans by size and length. The length is the inseam in inches, crotch to hem, so a 32 length has a 32 inch inseam.

Wrangler's tee chart runs much bigger than its shirt chart: a medium tee is listed for a 39½ to 42½ inch chest and a medium shirt for 35½ to 37½. If a tee size looks off for you, call us and we will check it against one in the store.
Wrangler cuts its women's tees in different fits. Check the product name or description for the fit:
- Regular: straight fit, no waist shape.
- Retro Regular: a little more shoulder, regular through the chest and looser at the hem.
- Girlfriend: oversized with a dropped shoulder.
- Boyfriend: longer and oversized with a dropped shoulder.
- Oversized: longer and loose, does not hug the body.
Between sizes
- On its jean and shirt pages, Wrangler's customer service says to size up if you're between sizes.
- The jean size is not your waist in inches. A size 28 fits a 29 to 29½ inch body waist, and a 32 fits 33½ to 34½ inches.
Sizing questions
- Is a Wrangler size 28 a 28 inch waist?
- No. In Wrangler women's sizing a 28 fits a 29 to 29½ inch waist and a 37½ to 38 inch hip. Measure yourself and use the jeans chart.
- What do the odd and even sizes mean?
- Some Wrangler women's jeans come in odd sizes (1, 3, 5 and up) or even sizes (0, 2, 4 and up) instead of waist sizes. The conversion chart shows how they line up: a 5 or a 6 is the same as a waist size 28 and a letter S.
- Can I try them on first?
