The Sydney isn't built to be a work layer and doesn't pretend to be. It's French terry fleece in a soft cream, cut boxy and short through the body with wide bell cuffs, and "Take me to the Rodeo" runs across the front in a loose script with chain-stitch detail. It works over jeans, over a skirt, over a collared shirt with the collar out — the kind of sweatshirt that reads deliberate instead of thrown on.

- They overlap. Both fit about a 45 to 46 inch chest. 2XL (Ariat's XXL) covers a 38 to 40 inch waist and 1X covers 37.5 to 39.5 inches, so compare your waist and hip to choose.
- Is the chart in body or shirt measurements?
- Body measurements. Measure yourself, not a shirt you own.
